George Georgiou and Ninjutsu
George Georgiou was born in Nicosia of Cyprus on 28May 1971. In 1974, period of war in the island, he came to Greece. He was introduced to the track field at the age of 8, and by his 15 years, he had taken place in various tournaments, where he was distincted many times. At the age of 15, he met martials arts Judo and Full Contact Karate. He was intrigued, however, by Ninjutsu.
Since 1991 he has taken part in many Hatsumi Sensei's seminars (Tai Kai) in Europe (England, Spain, France, Netherlands) and many other countries in the world. He has travelled so far 20 times to Japan. There, he trains in Hatsumi Sensei's Hombu Dojo with him and all of his senior japanese students.
At the age of 20 he becomes the youngest owner of black belt (SHODAN) and as an instructor in Greece in 1990, he founds the "Herculian Association of Martial Arts", the first recognised Association of teaching of Ninjutsu - Ninpo in Greece, where he teaches Hatsumi Sensei's Ninjutsu (Bujinkan Dojo).
Peter King's personal student (Shihan 10dan at that time), he travelled many times - even twice a month - in order to train with him in England. From Peter King, he received 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4thdan. At the age of 25, after the successfull "Saki" test, he receives the 5th dan from Hatsumi Sensei and he becomes the first and youngest Shidoshi (5thdan) in Greece.
At the age of 27 he gets the 6th dan and the progress continues. Aged 35 (that is 10 years after the 5th dan, timespan completely sensible for acquiring such a high rank), he receives the 10th dan from Hatsumi Sensei and he becomes Shihan in Ninjutsu of Bujinkan Dojo.
In 2008 he receives Chigyo Menkyo from Hatsumi Sensei.
In 2009 he receives Suigyo Menkyo from Hatsumi Sensei.
In 2010 he receives Kugyo Menkyo Kaiden from Hatsumi Sensei.
George Georgiou and I.B.A
George Georgiou, at the age of 20 and for 10 years is involved with bodyguarding and anti-terrorism. He becomes a member of I.B.A. (International Bodyguards Association). He is visiting England and countries of the former Soviet Union many times for training which involved explosives, anti-terrorist war tactics, training in various weapons, sniper weapon training, first aid, defensive / offensive driving, electronics surveillance, unarmed combat, conflict with terrorists in various scenarios, etc.
From the association's leader, Baron James Short, he receives the titles of Instructor, National Organiser and National Director of Greece.
In 1997 he gets the instructor's silver shield of the association - title which only few people in the world pocess, with over 4000 hours of training.
He has guarded foreign presidents, organised bodyguarding seminars, and has trained police and army forces in all over Europe.
George Georgiou and Judo
George Georgiou is a 1st dan black belt in kodokan Judo. He also has an instructor license from the Judo Federation in Greece, as well as profession permissive license as Instructor. George Georgiou has been to the heart of Judo in Japan, Kodokan, many times, and he is a member of Kodokan Judo Japan.
